Mary Eileen (Roper) Ryder, formerly of West Haven, Connecticut, and Port Charlotte, Florida, died Saturday, August 05, 2006 at the Edward White Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Born February 26, 1932 in New Haven, Connecticut, Mary a retired homemaker, wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1986 from West Haven, Connecticut. She was of Roman Catholic faith and formerly attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.
Survivors include her beloved daughters, Mrs. Christine M. (Donald, Sr.) Ceruti of Orlando, FL, and Mrs. Kathleen A. (Scott) Smith of West Haven, CT; brother Michael Roper of New York City, NY, 7 grandchildren, Dina Jeffrey of East Hampton, CT, John Ceruti of Colchester, CT, Donald Ceruti, Jr. of Lakeland, FL, Audra Savarese of Orlando, FL, Matthew Ceruti of Orlando, FL, Jacqueline Smith and Jennifer Smith both of West Haven, CT; 6 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George Thomas Ryder, her parents John and Bridget Roper, and brother’s John W. Roper, William J. Roper and G. Joseph Roper.
