Mazie Esmin Johnson-Hogg,73, affectionately known as “Pam” was born June 2, 1951, in Bath, St. Thomas, Jamaica West Indies. She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Jabez and Roseanna Johnson. She departed this life on Saturday 14 September 2024.
She was a graduate of Bath Primary School and Blyte’s Academy in St. Thomas, Jamaica W.I. She later attended Business college in Kingston, Jamaica. She relocated to Canada and later to the United Stated In 1982 where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She worked for over 20 years at Signature Health Care, Port Charlotte, Florida until she retired in 2017. She cared dearly for her patients and would help anyone in need.
She was a woman of God and a devoted member of the Grace Apostolic Temple.
Mazie was a devoted mother and grandmother, beloved sister, Aunt, cousin and friend. She touched the lives of many during her lifetime. Her everlasting love, dedication and presence will be greatly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her elder and loving brother Edmond Laughton.
She is survived by her daughters, Ewa (Tony) Garner of Columbus, GA and Monique (Nigel) Barnes of Port Charlotte, FL. Grandsons, Jayden & Jordan Garner of Columbus, GA. Grand-daughters, Jazmine & Jayla Barnes of Port Charlotte, FL. Sisters, Dorez Downie of St. Thomas Jamaica, Dottie Johnson of Port Charlotte FL, Ceeline Johnson of St. Thomas, Jamaica and brothers Carve Johnson of Port Charlotte FL, Clarence Johnson of Kingston, Jamaica, Inail Johnson, of Lodi, NJ, God-Daughter Nadine Henry of Port Charlotte FL, Her Sisters in Love, Mercedes Hoo-Fat of Miami, FL, Sonia Barrett of Port Charlotte, FL. Yvette McIntosh of Port Charlotte, FL Eulah Jackson of Port Charlotte, FL and Annette Noyse of Port Charlotte, FL and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
