Smithy was born to Dalbert and Icilda Smith on June 7, 1943 in Jamaica, West Indies. Smithy was a hardworking man who loved to help those in need. He loved to play domino’s and loved the farming life. He will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Ivarine; his son, Glenn Roy of North Port, FL; 5 daughters, Kimblee Smith of Long Island, NY, Winsome Smith of Port Charlotte, Dolores Ivy of Jamaica, Karen Smith of Atlanta, GA and Sheryl Smith of Fort Lauderdale, FL; 3 sisters, Birdie Sharp of Canada, Audrey Thomas and Marva Smith and his brother, Calvin Smith of Jamaica.
Visitation will be held 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, June 15, 2018 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Souls Harbour Church of God, 451 West Helen Ave. Punta Gorda, FL 33950. Entombment will follow to Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, FL.
