Melvin L. Lee, 86, of Arcadia, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at his home.
Melvin was born January 20, 1927 in Georgetown, Alabama to Joe and Hazel Lee. He was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Merchant Marines. He was a member of Fort Ogden United Methodist Church for many years. Melvin was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Donna; his daughter, Donna Shaw of Arcadia, FL; 2 sons, Robert (Helen) Lee of Ellijay, GA and Harvey (Kim)Lee of Algonac, MI; a brother, Lawrence Lee of Lake Placid, FL; 5 grandchildren, Nathan, Todd, Adam, Melinda and Sara and 2 great-grandchildren, Rory and Lily.
A Memorial Service will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Fort Ogden United Methodist Church, 6923 Southwest River Street, Arcadia, FL 34269.
