Uncle Melvin was my Dad's brother. I hadn't seen him since i was a teenager. Uncle Melvin was always very kind to me and spoiled me when he was around. I wish i could've seen him, but im glad him and dad are reunited in heaven.

Uncle Melvin was loving, gentle & kind. I will always have good memories of him visiting in his motor home and riding his motorcycle. He left a wonderful legacy with his beautiful children, grandchildren & great grandchildren and his memory will live on.

I was priviledged to meet Melvin last year. Larry, my mother and I sat and chatted for some time with him, his wife, daughter, and that loving dog. The impression that I have of Melvin is that he was truly a Southern Gentle Man. I am so sorry for your loss.

It has been many years ago but I don't remember exactly when I first met Mr. Mel & Mrs. Donna but I know one thing - it felt as if I had known them FOREVER!!!!! My husband Tommy & I adored them as a couple, they were such hard workers in our church and so involved and so in LOVE and I will say we only "aspire" to be like them in all ways. They were like grandparents to us and so many. I always had to go get a hug and a kiss from "My man" Mr. Mel and Mrs. Donna at church every Sunday. God's peace be with you and your family as we, along with you, miss Mr. Mel today and in the days ahead. Much love sent your way always!

We meet Mel & Donna at Ft. Odgen Methodist Church. We allways sat one row ahead of them at church. We ate meals with them, cooked dinners, and other things at church with them,we had good times. Mel was full of laughter & like to joke and kid around with you. He was allways one step ahead of you thinking what to do to you next. He will surely be miss, our prayers are with you all at this time of need. Bob & Penny Slatton
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
