MELVIN E. STILLWAGON, 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Friday,
September 8, 2006 at his residence.
He was born June 1, 1922 in Butler, Pennsylvania and moved to Ypsilanti,
Michigan early in life with his family, where he lived until moving to Port
Charlotte 25 years ago. In Ypsilanti he worked as an insurance agent for
Allstate Insurance for many years and also sold automobiles. He was a member
of Deep Creek Elks Lodge No. 2763 and a veteran of World War II, United
States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 64 years, Lois M. Stillwagon
of Port Charlotte; two daughters, Linda (Michael) Speer of Appleton, WI and
Vickie (Harold) Plamondon of North Port, FL; a brother, Joseph Gerald Stillwagon
of Punta Gorda, FL; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
