Michael Christian Moritz, 65, of Punta Gorda, Florida departed this life on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his home in Punta Gorda.
Mike was born to Albert and Margaret Moritz on October 29, 1950 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Mike was an expert craftsman and had the gift of being a true jack of all trades. His passion was to help people with anything and everything when needed. Mike was loved by all and will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched.
Survivors include his former wife and friend, Teddy Moritz; 2 sons, Michael C. Moritz, II and T. Matthew McVicker; a daughter, Andrea M. McVicker; 2 sisters, Cheryl J. Lukowski and Patti Jo Gudas; 2 brothers, Alan A. and Ronald W. Moritz; 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will be reunited with his beloved daughter, Katie Moritz.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Harbor Heights Park, 27420 Voyageur Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33983. Rev. Ian Hammett will be officiating.
