Mildred P. Hahn, 80, of Punta Gorda, Florida and formerly of the Bronx in New York, New York passed away Monday August 12, 2014.
She was born January 13, 1934 in Bronx, NY the daughter of James and Mary Royal. She attended school in the Bronx and graduated from the Walter School for Girls. She was employed by the Prudential Insurance Company. In 1953 she and her late husband, Jim, and 3 children moved to Long Island. Later in life she was employed by Metropolitan Life where she served as manager of insurance policies. She retired in 1995 and moved to Punta Gorda Isles in 1996.
She loved to cook and entertain for many friends at her home. She played regularly in Mah Jongg and Canasta groups. She loved to travel visiting many countries, with Paris being one of her favorite destinations. She was a long time member of the Charlotte Yacht Club and the Punta Gorda Boat Club.
She is survived by her husband William Hahn of 9 years, her twin sons, Kevin and James and her daughter Marianne, and her grandchildren Kristen, Kyle, and Justin. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, August 19th at 11:00 AM. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Punta Gorda. Private entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte, Florida.
