Mildred L. Lewis, 86, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at Harbor Health Center in South Port Charlotte, Florida.
Born Mildred L. Patrick on December 20, 1927, Mildred and husband Arthur, moved from Dayton, Ohio to Fort Myers, FL in 1973 where she and her husband owned and operated a local hotel, and from Ft. Myers to the Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda area more than 30 years ago. She was a member of the Church of God of Fort Ogden, Florida, and she and her husband helped build the Souls Harbour Church of God in Punta Gorda.
She is survived by her loving children, two sons, James E. (Jeanette) Lewis of Roanoke, VA, and Ronald L. (Sharon) Lewis of Fairborn, OH; a daughter, Robin A. Lewis of Cape Coral, FL; eight grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Arthur Lewis, and two daughters, Maudella Caskey and Willene Wooten.
Viewing will be held 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. this Tuesday, March 11, 2014 with Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. at Roberson Funeral Homes Punta Gorda Chapel with Jimmie Collins of Church of God of Fort Ogden, officiating. Committal with Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte, Florida.
