N. Harold Butler, 87, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 23, 1921 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved the Port Charlotte twenty years ago from Ellsworth, Wisconsin. He was a farmer, in addition, he and his wife June were owners and operated a department store for many years in Ellsworth, WI. When he moved to Port Charlotte, he got his real estate license and worked for Century 21 Sunbelt Realty, Inc in Port Charlotte for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed very much.
He was a member of The Grand Lodge Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Minnesota – Bemidji Lodge No.233 Bemidji, MN; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of the Eau Claire in Minnesota; Port Charlotte United Methodist Church.
Survived by his loving wife of 66 yrs. of marriage, June Butler of Port Charlotte; a son, Larry H. Butler of Ellsworth, Wisconsin; Six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters and a daughter, Bonnie J. Kurchner.
There will be a memorial service 11:00 AM Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church. Rev. J. Ralph Burton, Jr. will officiate.
