Nick was born March 14, 1919 in New York, New York and moved to Port Charlotte in 1974 from there. Nick was a WWII veteran who served proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church for many years. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him. For those who remember him well, remember his famous quote; “It’s Nice to be Nice”.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Rose M. Caggiano; a son, Joseph Caggiano of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Marianne Armstrong of Show Low, AZ; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 3:00PM, Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Inurnment with Military honors by the US Army and American Legion will follow at St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church Memorial Garden.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Charlotte Chapel.
