Noreen A. Spurr, 71, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in Tampa, Florida at Tampa General Hospital.

She was born  in Hartford, Connecticut on Tuesday, December 5, 1950, the oldest of six children to Patrick and Marjorie Ferrante.  An avid crafts person, Noreen loved to paint, knit, work with seashells and stain glass.  Noreen`s first and most cherished love were her devoted husband, two sons and grandchildren. Noreen spent over 30 years working in customer service in the banking industry. Noreen also donated here time, working at a local church store with a group of  caring, loving individuals. A very outgoing adventures person, Noreen had a deep passion for life and the people in her life. Noreen will be missed by her many friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Eugene, her sons Jeff Shimmel, and Brian Shimmel; three siblings, two grandchildren, and many extended family members.  Noreen was preceded in death by her parents, and two siblings.

A gathering celebrating Noreen’s memory was held Thursday, in Port Charlotte, Florida.  A private committal will be held by Noreen’s family at a later date.
