Patricia Ann Barrett, 69, of Port Charlotte, Florida and Greenwood, Indiana died peacefully at home in Port Charlotte on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Patricia was born October 21, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harold Victor and Barbara Louise Houston. She was a retired executive with Eli Lily and Company. She was a member of the Port Charlotte Church of Christ and the Heartland Church of Christ in Greenwood, IN. Patricia and her husband Brent have spent their winters in Port Charlotte since 2010.

Survived by her loving family, her husband, Brent Barrett; two daughters, Kathryn Barrett, and Elizabeth Barrett; and a sister, Janet Gottemoeller.

I am so sorry for the loss of Patty. You were a true friend and we were like sisters from another mother. .R.I.P. Patty. Love you and miss you so much. God got another beautiful angle. Always in my heart. Thank you for touching our lives and many others.. until we meet again.

Brent, Katie, and Elizabeth- I extend my deepest sympathies to each of you. I had the pleasure of working with Pat and developing a friendship with her over time. She was a grand person. Her integrity, courage, strength and demeanor were admirable. All the memories I have of Pat are good ones and we shared many good laughs. Pat’s eyes would light up when she would speak of each of you. The love and concern she had for each of you was palpable and you were always her top priority. I will look forward to the next time I am able to have a good chat with Pat in heaven. I am thankful she was a Believer and this opportunity awaits us.

Dearest Brent, Patti was the joy and laughter in your life and the twinkle in your eye and she still is. She will still walk alongside you and be your constant companion. You both loved God and know she has reaped her heavenly reward.. I’m so glad we were able to visit both of you at your “piece of Heaven on earth” in Port Charlotte last February. Let her love radiate from you for your remaining earthly days, until you meet again.. YDM…Carol

I am so sorry Brent. Patty was a joy to work with and she got me through Physics at IUPUI. I loved her laugh. Patty is with our Lord now and at peace. Sara
