She was born October 19, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Bruce and Evelyn Holt. Paulette has lived in Florida for the last 50 years, moving to Punta Gorda from Englewood, Florida. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and volunteered with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Member of the Friendship United Methodist Church of Punta Gorda, the Order of the Eastern Star, and volunteered with the Order of the Rainbow, Boy Scouts and
Girl Scouts.
She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Victoria Lynn Cordes of King George, VA Bridgette Veal of Lake Panasoffee, FL, Gina Parker of Cimarron, KS; sons, Philip, David, and Edsel Morrison all of Punta Gorda and Big David Morrison of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; sisters, Bonnie Tidwell of Punta Gora, Geri Holt of North Port, FL, and Terri Help of Clear Lake, MN; a brother, Paul Holt of Englewood, FL; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Morrison who died in 2009, her parents, brothers, Joe and Butch Holt.
Visitation will be held Thursday 1:00 PM, to 3:00 PM Dec. 26, 2013 at the Roberson Funeral Home Punta Gorda Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday 2:00 PM, December 27, 2013 at the Friendship United Methodist Church. Rev. Dr. Bruce Antle will officiate. Entombment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship United Methodist Church, 12275 Paramount Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33955 or Relay for Life Team Conway Professional www.relayforlife.org/puntagordafl

I loved to hear mom tell the story of how she and dad came together. She always told me a story of how I was in the backseat of the car when they were talking about marrying and the doubts she felt. She loved my father very much (and he loved her!)but she didn't want to create hard feelings since it would entail combining two sets of kids (8 in all!) She said I popped my head up from.the.back seat and.begged her to marry my father. She said I had these big crocodile tears and was so upset that she might leave. She said there was no way she would let me down and they were married soon thereafter. Since that time she and my father were inseparable and the happiest couple I've ever seen. I know she and dad are now hand in hand laughing like they used to do as they enjoyed each other's company. I'm so very proud of her for the strength and dignity she showed through this difficult battle. I love you mom and will miss your living laughter and smile.
