She was born January 10, 1936 in Cheraw, South Carolina and moved to Port Charlotte in 1980 from Burke, VA. She was a retired flight attendant with Capital Airlines and retired from Bank of America.
Survived by her loving husband of 54 yrs. Kelvin L. Matteson of Port Charlotte; a son Thomas Matteson and daughter, Chris Matteson and one brother.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL. 34238

Kel and family, we are so very sorry at the passing of Peggy. Our fondest memories are with the boating trips to Cayo Costa and the many laughs we shared together. After the sailboat tipped over being on a sandbar, that was the end of Peggy's sailing days
.Jay's trip to the Virgin Island is one of his most memorable times with the Mattesons.

Buster and I were deeply saddened to hear of Peggy"s death. I first met Peg in 1957 when we were roommates at Air Career School. We both married Navy men so our paths crossed in several duty stations. We continued to meet and

Peggy and I have been friends for years and years since working together at Bank of America (Barnett Bank) I had lost touch with her when she moved but still thought of her often.
