PERRY N. GATTANELL, M.D., 64, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte.
He was born April 30, 1943 in Bronx, New York and moved to Port Charlotte
in 1977 from Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Gattanell was a retired oncologist and retired
in 2003 after practicing in Port Charlotte for 26 years. He was a graduate of the
University of Florida, received his Masters Degree in Bio-Chemistry from Rutgers
University and Medical Degree from State University of New York, Down State
Medical School in 1973. He was of the Jewish faith.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 42 years, Lydia
Gattanell of Port Charlotte; two daughters, Laura (Randy) St. John of Port Charlotte
and Marnie (Matthew) Bialosuknia of Orlando, FL; a brother, Jay A. ((June) Gattanell of Bronx, NY; a sister, Gilda (Rob) Perlin of Las Vegas, NV; and 5 grandchildren, Alexis & Kaci St. John, Sydney, Hudson and Evan Bialosuknia.
