Peter VanDyken, Jr., 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at ShorePoint Health-Port Charlotte.

Peter was born to Peter and Wilhelmima Van Dyken on August 27, 1938 in Orlando, Florida. Peter was a man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved fishing, reading, Jeopardy game show, and the most important, his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Peter loved to write as well regarding ministry devotions. Peter was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Ann; his 3 sons, Peter, Daniel and Michael Van Dyken; 2 daughters, Angela Weigel and Sara Stiger; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and his companion dog, ChaCha.

A Celebration of life service will be held 2:00PM, Monday, September 12, 2022 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail Port Charlotte, FL 33948.

He loved his wife, family and friends like few I have ever witnessed - and in return, was loved well. He leaves a legacy of kindness, sharing, good counsel, a wonderful sense of humor (the word 'buick' comes to mind...), and so much more.
