Ralph D. Kidwell, 87, passed away on November 5, 2025, in Port Charlotte, Florida. Ralph was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Ralph enlisted in the United States Air Force at age 17. He was first stationed at Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod before serving in Morocco. While on Cape Cod, he met Renee Souza, who would become his wife of 66 years. Together they made their home in East Falmouth, Massachusetts. Ralph worked as a painter and a mechanic before becoming the owner of Ideal Fuel Company.

He is survived by wife Renee F. Kidwell, sons Stephen and wife Bonnie Kidwell of Port Charlotte, Florida, Michael Kidwell of Falmouth, Massachusetts, Marc Kidwell of North Port, Florida, and Timothy Kidwell of Falmouth, Massachusetts, grandchildren Stephen Jr., Jennifer, Chad, Jared Kidwell, Justin, Joshua Windle, Amber, Tanner, Elizabeth Kidwell, Kevin, Kerey, and Kellie Andrade and their families; eleven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Carol Kidwell; four nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Farmer and Buck Kidwell, and his brothers Robert, Jerry, Ronald, Donald, and Phillip.

There will be a celebration of life in Port Charlotte, Florida.

A visitation will be held on Thursday November 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral and Cremations, 475 Main Street, Falmouth, MA 02540. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church 167 East Falmouth Highway in East Falmouth on Friday November 21, 2025, at 11:00am with burial to follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
