Ralph T. “Terry” Marlow, 79, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Friday, May 29, 2026, peacefully at home.
Terry was born March 8, 1947, in Sarasota, Florida and moved to Punta Gorda in 1972 from there. He was a graduate of Sarasota High School and the Indiana College of Mortuary Science. Member of Fort Ogden Baptist Church, Fort Ogden, Florida, Sarasota Masonic Lodge No. 147 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Fort Myers and Araba Shrine of Fort Myers.
Terry lived a life filled with purpose, laughter, and genuine care for others. He was known for his warm personality, generous spirit, and remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went. Terry truly never met a stranger. His quick wit and sense of humor brought joy to countless people throughout his life.
In his early years, Terry worked in the funeral profession in Sarasota, serving families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Later, he became a partner in Marlow Werner Pontiac Buick GMC dealership in Punta Gorda, where he built lasting relationships within the community and earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
Terry had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, fly tying, building fishing rods, gardening, and cooking. He embraced life with enthusiasm and found happiness in sharing his interests with family and friends. Among his greatest joys was traveling and taking cruises with the love of his life, his wife, Julie. Those who knew Terry will remember his zest for life, his generous heart, and genuine concern he showed for others. He was one of the most giving people anyone could know, always ready to lend a helping hand, share a laugh, or offer words of encouragement. His legacy of kindness, friendship, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Survived by his devoted wife, Julie Marlow; his son Dana Marlow; his sister, Sharon Werner; his brother, Carlton Marlow; and a grandson, Mattew James Compagno. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxine and Earl Marlow.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday 11:00 AM, June 20, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Fort Ogden, 6831 Senate St., Arcadia, Fl 34269. Graveside services and interment will be held Thursday 10:30 AM, June 4, 2026, at the Miakka Cemetery, Old Miakka, Florida.
