Ranford was born July 27, 1933 in Jamaica, West Indies to Vernal and Beatrice Miller. Ranford was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte. He moved to England in the 1950’s where he worked at North Tames Gas Board and also Ford Motor Company for many years. He retired and moved to Jamaica in 1982 and later moved to Florida in 1983 where he enjoyed life to the fullest playing dominos and making people laugh.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline; a son, Devon Miller of England; 2 daughters, Julie and Yvonne Miller both of England; 2 brothers, Amos Miller of Port Charlotte and Alphonso Miller of Bahamas; 5 sisters, Venis Miller of Port Charlotte, Renella Reid of Port Charlotte, Eugenie Miller of Philadelphia, PA, Esmeter Miller and Bernice Miller both of England and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6PM-8PM, Thursday, March 13 2014 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Friday 11:00 AM, March 14 at funeral home. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Port Charlotte, Florida.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.
