To his boys and extended family, please accept my condolences on your loss. I grew up 4 houses down from the DiRico's with my second family, the Grilli's. Rich always had time for us younger kids, especially his cousins, Glenn and Kenny. I have so many memories of Rich showing us the way, baseball, basketball, and especially hockey. Rich coached the Lindy Sabres. Truly on of the warmest, funniest, most sincere people I have ever known. Thanks Rich, for all the great memories, and may you eternally rest in peace. Tom

I was shocked and saddened when I heard...From time to time I worked with Rich. Thru the years we started to drift apart from one another, but I always talked about him to friends ..To his sons Rich, Jonathan, and Michael I just want to say to all three of you, that you were his whole life. I am sure he will be watching over all of you.....Hill Panoff

I was so saddened when I heard of Rich's death. Only one week earlier, he had posted a message on my Facebook profile when he heard I was visiting family in Florida. He was such a kind person. I knew Rich from our high school days in Lindenhurst as we graduated together My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I pray that they would be comforted during this difficult time. Blessings and love, Debbie Sumstad Petras
