Richard J. Doman, 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. He was born February 22, 1927 in Chicago, IL and moved to Port Charlotte over thirty years ago from Chicago. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army and retired from Western Electric, with thirty eight years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post #110 in Port Charlotte and member of Veterans Motor Car Club of America.
Survived by his loving wife, Dorothy J. Doman of Port Charlotte; his children, Gina Doman, Richard Doman, Jr. and Robert Doman; Three grandchildren, Kelly, Richard III, and Casey;
There will be a visitation Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a wake service at 7:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Entombment and Military Honors will be held in Forest Park, IL.

Dena and myself were very sad to hear about the death of richard.I know Dottie you are heartbroken and miss this loving man.I remember richard as a kind,funny and carring person. He always spoke with a smile and love in his heart when he talked about his family and especially his wife Dorothy. I always had fun with him talking cars,especially about his big 70' s vintage caddy! I often get comfort when I read this passage from the bible. REVELATION CH.21 VERSES 3&4 remembering a loving GOD.
