Richard W. Harrington, 93 of Port Charlotte, Florida who was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

Richard was an U.S. Air Force Veteran and an Airline Captain. He was known to be a practical joker. He was an avid football fanatic for his team, the New England Patriots. Richard loved to ski and loved his church, Crossover Christian Fellowship in Port Charlotte but most of all his love for his family and friends. Richard was a good husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Leonora Harrington; daughter, Wanda Miller; 3 grandchildren, Erik Miller, Natalee Miller Hanna, Katherine Miller Tremblay; nieces, Heather Gilmore Renaud and husband, Frank Renaud Jr., Nancy Harrington Glass and husband Stu Glass, and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his parents William and Ruth Harrington, his two brothers, Robert and Lendon Harrington, his two sisters, Barbara H Brendeland and Beth H Gilmore, and his son, William Harrington.

He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Rutland, Vermont. A private family graveside service will be held 1:00PM, Saturday, September 21, 2024.
