Robert F. Pouk, 89, formerly of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Orlando, Florida.
Robert was born June 25, 1925 in Streator, Illinois to the late Thomas and Bernice Pouk. After serving with the U.S. Navy during World War II, Robert returned to civilian life and family, working for Reynolds Aluminum and raising three sons with his wife Anna. He moved his family from Joliet, Illinois where he was a member of the American Legion Post No. 1284, to Punta Gorda in 1972, and moved to Windermere, Florida seventeen years ago.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Steven (Sandra) Pouk of Windermere, FL, and Jeffrey L. (Lisa) Pouk of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother, Thomas (Kathryn) Pouk, and sister-in-law, Gretchen (Richard) Pouk; nine grand and three great grandchildren, and many extended family members. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Richard, son, Gregory P. Pouk, grandson, Mathew Pouk, and his beloved wife Anna.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. this Friday, November 28, 2014 at Roberson Funeral Homes Port Charlotte Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery in Port Charlotte.
