Romeo P. Jean, 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died peacefully Monday afternoon, July 21, 2008 at Signature Health Care in Port Charlotte.
Born Romeo Peter Jean on February 24, 1916 in Lewiston, Maine, Romeo was the only child of the late Philippe and Medora (nee-Chabot) Jean. A veteran of the United States Army, World War II, and retired owner of a refrigeration repair and service business, he moved to Port Charlotte from Winter Haven, Florida were he resided for 20 years, after leaving his longtime home of Windham in his native Maine in 1982.
Romeo is survived by his loving children, daughter Patricia M. Whitney of Port Charlotte, and son, Donald P. Jean of AZ; 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Marion L. Jean, in June of 2005.
