ROSE V. MEYER, 88, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, January 26, 2009 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. She was born to Robert and Caroline Scanlon April 4, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed very much. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Charlotte Harbor.

Survived by her loving children, Nancy L. Boronkas of Port Charlotte, Julia Baier of Bayville, NJ, Rose Mary Craemer of Lebanon, CT, Richard Weynberg of Howell, NJ and Charles H. Meyer of Toms River, NJ; nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday, February 2, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church 239084 Seneca Ave. Port Charlotte, FL. 33980 Pastor Paul Vernon will officate. Interment and committal service will follow at Charlotte Harbor Cemetery in Charlotte Harbor.

Memorial contributions may be made in Rose V. Meyer’s memory to: Trinity United Methodist Church (Building Fund) 239084 Seneca Ave. Port Charlotte, FL. 33980

I remember Rose as a child growing up. She and her husband, Charles, were, I think, my parents best friends. I have very fond memories of going to visit them and gowing up with their children. My heart is with all the family..God Bless you all..My favorite memory of Rose, is that she taught me how to appreciate a good glas of wine, she also got me two long stem glasses for me to enjoy wine in. Our games of Mexican Train are an easy memory also, especially when she sat in front of the mirrors at Nancy's home. Actually, there are many things. Rose was loved and is missed............Hope
