ROSE V. BRUNDERMAN, 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte.
Rose was born July 29, 1924 in the Bronx, New York to the late Francesco and Filomena Vicale. She moved to Port Charlotte in 1973 from Glenview, Illinois. She was a young and vibrant 92 who left us unexpectedly. She lived a full and active life until the end. She truly enjoyed her new independent life style at South Port Square where she was taking Spanish and French classes. She was active in the community attending Chamber events and any musical programs she could find. Rose was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and the family takes comfort that she is now resting in his arms. She enjoyed the company of her husband, Gerald Wilkins, during the last years of her life. They kept each other young and active. Rose was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul H. Brunderman in 1994.
She will be missed by her five children, Rosemary (Dean) Huisingh, Kathleen Browning, Brian (Lori) Brunderman, Pamela Brunderman, Jeffrey (Brenda) Brunderman; ten grandchildren, Beth Hoover, Megan (Marc) Scheetz, Carrie (Brian) Johnson, Matthew (Kristina) Brunderman, Jessica (Charley) Ford, Erin (Daniel) Schafers, Ashleah (Chris) Boyd, Paul, Jason, and Amy Brunderman; twelve great-grandchildren, Tayla, Wyatt, Madolyn , Elowyn, Karl, Raya, Serenity, Nathan, Xander, Alekza, Eli and Sydney. They all loved this woman dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 12 Noon, November 21, 2016 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spear St., Port Charlotte, Florida 33948. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte. A party will follow in Rose’s honor to celebrate her life at South Port Square, 23023 Westchester Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33980 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM
