ROSS A. CAMBARERI, 76, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Bayfront Health-Port Charlotte surrounded by his loving family.
Ross was born July 22, 1940 to the late Grazia and Anthony Cambareri in Mount Kisco, New York. He was a graduate of Fox Lane High School in Mount Kisco, and Pennsylvania Military College, now Widener University, in Chester, PA with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a 1st Lieutenant. Ross worked for the Nestle Corp. and as a Comptroller for Con-Edison before moving to Port Charlotte in 1978 where he opened a cabinet shop. Ross Cabinets served Charlotte County for 20 years manufacturing fine custom cabinets and furniture until he retired in 1998. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maria D. Cambareri of Port Charlotte; three daughters, Sandy (Bill) Ritter of Punta Gorda, FL, Deanna (John) Wieber of Port Charlotte, and Toni Marie (Clay) Roberson of Port Charlotte; a sister, Mary (Joe) Tomas of Wilton, CT; brother-in-laws, Tony (Elaine) DeFazio of Oxford, CT and Pat Cambareri of Mount Kisco, NY; a sister-in-law, Adrian Cambareri of Port Charlotte; four granddaughters, Joanna, Toni Lynn, Hannah and Halayna; and three grandsons, Johnny, Billy and Hayden.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, August 5, 2016 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 AM. Entombment with military honors by a U.S. Army Honor Guard will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
