Roy was born to Frank and Gladys Cooper on October 11, 1931 in Honduras and moved to Port Charlotte in 1985 from Paterson, NJ. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church of Port Charlotte. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Alicia; 2 sons, Omar Cooper and Roy Cooper, Jr.; 3 daughters, Jacqueline Moore, Gladys Carter and Eloisa Cooper Morandi all of Port Charlotte; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 2, 2015 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.
