Russell Vernon Trent, Jr., age 65, of Port Charlotte Florida passed away on January 10, 2021 in Port Charlotte.
Russell was born on November 6, 1955 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Delores L. and  Russell Vernon Trent Sr.  A resident of the Port Charlotte area for over 41 years, Russell, a former employee of Waste Management company, met and married the love of his life, Linda Loose of Port Charlotte, and together raised two children.  Russell was active in the community, coaching and managing Little League Teams and volunteering as a Little League Umpire for over 10 plus years.  Having a vast knowledge and expertise of Sports Cards and Sports Memorabilia, Russell worked 30 plus years for Herbs Coins and Sports Cards in Port Charlotte.
He is survived by his beloved wife over 41 years, Linda Trent; his son Russell V. Trent III, and daughter Niiki Trent; four grandchildren, and two sisters, Joyce and Dottie.  In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly and Wanda.
A Memorial service celebrating Russell’s life will be held from 4 to 6 pm this Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the Port Charlotte Beach Park Complex, 4500 Harbor Blvd in Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
