Sarah L. Schofield, 99, of North Port, Florida, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at her home in North Port, Florida.

Born on November 13, 1925, in Savage, Maryland, she lived in Maryland, Washington DC, Long Island, NY, and Falls Church, VA, before settling in SW Florida after retiring from the family business, So. Md. Credit Bureau Inc., in LaPlata, Maryland.  She enjoyed social activities, golfing, card games and traveling while she lived in the retirement community.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William H. “Bill” Schofield, daughter Gayle L. Messick, and grandsons Thomas Schofield Jr. and Nichlos Schofield.  She is survived by son’s Thomas (Wife Ida) Scholfield, Gary Schofield and Robert “Scott” Schofield.  Twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Sarah will be laid to rest alongside her husband Bill at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in Prince George County, Maryland at a later date.
