She was born December 6, 1934 in Bangor, Maine and moved to North Port 8 months ago from Madison, Alabama. She was a retired administrator for the state of Florida. She was an avid doll collector and loved to sew. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and will be missed very much.
Survived by two sons, Robert A.(wife, Wanda) Hughston of North Port, Scott Alan Hughston of Madison, AL; a daughter, Kathy Hughston of California;three sisters, Karen (husband- Russell) Lowery of Union Grove, IL, Cathy (husband- James) Leathers of Wayland, IL, Judy Parady of ME; five grandchildren, Scott Alan Hughston, Jr., Christy M. Hughston, Brandon Hughston, Shelley A. Hughston and Hannah R. Hughston; many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by her son, David Edward Hughston and a brother, Bruce Thornton
