Shirley M. Karnatz-Hermon, 81, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday April 11, 2022 at home.

She was born February 1, 1941 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Woodrow T. and Agnes C. (Linnenkugel) Jones. She had many different jobs during her lifetime to include homemaker, nurse’s aide, upholsterer, pharmacy technician and salesclerk. Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, bird watching, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Milan Hermon of Port Charlotte, FL; 2 daughters, Connie (Douglas) Jenvey of Willis, MI and Kathleen (Robert) Scott of Port Charlotte, FL; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Walkley, Sean Jenvey, David Jenvey, Christopher Scott and Jeremy Scott; 3 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Elijah and Aurora; 4 siblings, Gwendolyn, David, Kenneth and Rebecca; Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald Karnatz.

Memorial services will be held later in Michigan with interment in Alban Cemetery, Ypsilanti, Michigan. Contributions may be made to: The Alzheimer’s Association.
