Shirley J. (Nancy) Oliver, 75, a resident of Lake Suzy, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 16, 2013.

She was born August 2, 1938 in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies to Nellie and Vincent May. She was a retired Registered Nurse for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Charles Oliver; a daughter, Heather Brinkley; a sister, Sonia May; a nephew, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family invites you to share in the celebration of Shirley’s life at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Nathaniel’s Episcopal Church, 4200 South Biscayne Drive, North Port, Florida. Committal services followed by inurnment will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Venice Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jean Hite will officiate.
