He was born October 29, 1926 in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to North Port 22 years from Farmingdale, New York. Sladford was an exceptional man who was very good at everything he did. He was an outstanding plumber for many years and he enjoyed gardening to the fullest. Sladford was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend and he will be remembered by all who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Athreen; 3 sons, Andrew Sewell of Bradenton, FL, Franklin Sewell of Jamaica, W.I. and Rudolph Sewell of Baltimore, MD; 2 daughters, Maureen Robertson of Amelia, OH and Andrea Liverpool of Pembroke Pines, FL; a sister, Thora Sewell of New York, NY; 2 brothers, Leaford Sewell of Port Charlotte and Coniff Hall of England and 7 grandchildren, Alison, Nicole, Danielle, Renee, Kadeen, Krysteen and Jesika.
Visitation will be held 5:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, November 8, 2013 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Port Charlotte New Testament Church of God. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Port Charlotte, Florida.
