A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 pm on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 at the Port Charlotte Moose Lodge 2121, in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Theodore Neill Bowman JR, age 75, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Ted was a 1965 graduate of Gloucester City High School in New Jersey. He served in the US Air Force. Ted moved to Florida in 2012 with JoAnn. While in Florida he enjoyed playing softball 4 days a week for the Senior Softball League and also participated in Softball tournaments in Florida which he was known as the (Zookeeper). Ted loved going to the casinos and taking trips with JoAnn. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

He is survived by his mother (Eleanor Jones) of Ormond Beach, FL and predeceased by his father (Theodore Neill Bowman). Sisters Sandra (Joe) Reynolds of Ormond Beach, FL, Darlene (James) McLain of Byhalia, MS, Lisa Camp of Hatfield, PA, Brother Steve of Jacksonville Beach, FL. His two children Heather and Teddy and four grandchildren Markie, Jake, Davin, & Grace.

Ted is also survived by his long time partner of 23 years JoAnn Yacura. A step-daughter Marie Yacura of NJ, Step-son Stephen Yacura (Desiree) of NJ. Also four grandkids Eddie, Jaxon, Giana and Pyper.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 pm on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 at the Port Charlotte Moose Lodge 2121, in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Ted will be missed by all of his friends at Hooters. He left a mark on all of us, and yes, it was a great mark. I will go above beyond for all of the guests, but Ted is the only friend that I would ever ice down, peel, and set up his peel and eat shrimp. A good friend has moved on, but his life will always be remembered!

I met Ted and Joanne through mutual friends and it was a pleasure knowing Ted he was a wonderful person and also enjoyed our times at Luigis after your softball games. Ted you will missed by many.Fly high my friend!

JoAnn, Teddy was such a great guy and will be missed by many of us. He was one in a million. We will never forget his antics over real butter, honey and bananas! He made us laugh till we had tears in our eyes. Always in our thoughts and prayers, love you Teddy!
