Theresa Sherman, 97, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at her residence.
She was born October 4, 1914 in Staten Island, New York and moved from Forrest City, Pennsylvania to Port Charlotte in 1991. She worked as an office manager for Toyota Automotive Company for many years. She had a passion for crocheting afghans for the homeless for the past 20 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include daughter, Doris ( George ) Hobel of Port Charlotte; five grandchildren, Lisa (Wayne) Cline of Lavon, TX; Steven (Wendy) Maleeny of Arlington, TX; Jeffrey and Scott (Linda) Sherman both of CA and Judy (Eddie) Collins of TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Ellis Sherman and two sons, Michael and Francis Sherman.
Graveside services will be held, Friday 10 A.M. October 14, 2011 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte, Florida.
