THOMAS CASARELLA, 81, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at his home in Port Charlotte.He was born September 7, 1931 in Avelino, Italy and moved to Port Charlotte 34 years ago from Yonkers, New York. He was a retired residential construction contractor. Thomas was member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and a former member of the Sons of Italy and Elks Lodge No. 2153 of Port Charlotte. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 50 years, Carol Casarella of Port Charlotte; two daughters, Lisa Casarella of Naples, FL and Michelle (Tommy) Cifarelli of Punta Gorda, FL; two sons, Thomas Casarella of Pompano Beach, FL and Michael (Kristie) Casarella of Punta Gorda, FL; 8 grandchildren, Alyssa Norus, Alexandra Norus, Nick Cifarelli, Korinne Casarella, Stephen Michael Casarella, Gianna Cifarelli, Karlee Casarella and Isabella Cifarelli.
Visitation will be held Monday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, March 4, 2013 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM, March 5, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Port Charlotte.
