THOMAS H. CLARK, 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida and Ellenville, NY died Friday, December 8, 2006 at his residence.
He was born June 4, 1917 in Williamstown, Vermont to Joseph and
Anna Golden Clark. Tom was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II with the Seabee Stevedores and served in the Aleutian Island and in the Philippines with Naval Construction, 5th Special Battalion. He was a retired crane operator with Operating Engineers Local 98 of Vermont and Massachusetts and Local 825 of New York and New Jersey.
Tom and his wife, June retired in 1980 and moved to Port Charlotte. They
Spent their summers at their cottage in Cape Pond in Ellenville, NY. He was a member
of the North Port Yacht Club, American Legion Post #110 of Port Charlotte and
Punta Gorda Elks Lodge No. 2606.
Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, June Riddel Clark of Port Charlotte;
two daughters, Karyl (Douglas) Doscher of Newport, RI and Janis (Joseph) McCullough
of Media, PA; two brothers, John and Robert Clark of Vermont; three grandchildren,
a granddaughter, Lisa (Peter) Turgeon of CT, two grandsons, John McGeehan of SC
and Jeremy McCullough of CO; two great grandchildren, Alexandra and Thomas Turgeon of CT. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William.
