Thomas was born October 20, 1934 in Rahway, New Jersey to the late Edwin and Anna (nee – Pittel) Thompson. A veteran of the Korean War, U.S. Marine Corp., Thomas, the former owner of Thompson Roofing in Rahway, moved from his native Rahway to Punta Gorda in 2000 to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Lynn Mullen of Punta Gorda, a brother, Edwin Thompson of Waretown, NJ, and several nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by two sons, Russell and Mark Thompson, and his beloved wife, Dorothy.
