Venith L. Akhaphong, 42, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at home.
He was born in Laos on March 8, 1976 to Somphone and, the late, Sananh Akhaphong. He was hibachi chef for the Ichiban Japanese Steak House in Port Charlotte. Venith (Lee) loved fishing, spending time with his friends and trying to make people smile any way he could; it was the little things that meant the most to him. He was also an amazing artist and loved to draw.
Venith is survived by his loving family, two daughters, Diana T. Akhaphong of Lehigh Acres, FL and Siranie D. Akhaphong of Port Charlotte, FL; three sisters: Thongleune Akhaphong of Thailand, Somkhith Inthasane (Noy) of Fort Myers FL, Pitsana Akhaphong-Soro (Walat) of Lavergne TN; two brothers: Satheune Yasunton of Thailand, Sathith Akhaphong (Phetmany) of Columbus OH; and his nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services will be held by the family.
