Viola Henson Freeman, 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida died peacefully Saturday, June 22, 2013 at home.
She was born January 28, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York to the late James and Emma Batchelor. Viola moved to Port Charlotte with her husband in 1989 from Holiday, Florida. She was a retired office manager for a Chevrolet and Oldsmobile dealership.
She is survived by her loving family, husband, Robert Franklin Freeman of Port Charlotte; a son, John J. Henson (Loretta) of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Bonnie Venezia (Paul) of Huntsville, AL.; a daughter-in-law, Emily Henson; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Viola was preceded in death by her sons James E. Henson, Keith Henson and daughter in law, Carolyn Henson.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 6:00-6:30 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.
