Virginia A. Mitchell, 78, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at The Palms of Punta Gorda, FL.
Virginia was born August 17, 1935 in Brooklawn, New Jersey and moved to Charlotte County in 1977 from New Jersey. Virginia grew up with a love for music, the theater, and movies. She graduated from Gloucester City High School in 1953. She was employed as an administrative assistant and sales associate. Virginia pampered prize-winning cats and dogs and enjoyed boating. She was a stylish, thoughtful, and talented lady and will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Survivors include her friends, David and Judith Wilson of Port Charlotte, FL, Patsy Vogdes of Haddonfield, NJ, and Betty Daggy of San Jose, CA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Theodore F. Mitchell.
Special appreciation is extended to the staff of the Palms of Punta Gorda and to caregivers at Tidewell Hospice.
A private Inurnment will be held at a later date in Port Charlotte.
