Wanda Ruth Jehlen, 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed peacefully Wednesday, September 25, 2013 In Port Charlotte.

She was born January 2, 1929 in Pennsylvania and moved to Port Charlotte In 1969 from West Bloomfield, New York. She was a long time member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. She was a loving wife and mother who will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Robert) Huff of Sarasota ; preceded in death by her husband, Alfred W. Jehlen and her daughter Debra Jehlen.

There will be a mass of Christian Burial 1:30 PM Monday, September 30, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Entombment will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. .

Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.

I remember Aunt Wanda as a wonderful seamstress. She could really sew! I also remember the picnics on the train tracks near her house in West Bloomfield as a child. Aunt Wanda and my mother were great friends! I am grateful for the time I had with her and know that she is in a special place now.
