WILLIAM J. MILLER, 83, of Venice, Florida and former resident of Port Charlotte, FL died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at home.

He was born June 25, 1929 in Linden, New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1979 from Monmouth, NJ. William was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy “Debbie” Miller of Venice; a daughter, Susan Wollack of Cumming, GA; a brother, Robert Miller of Clearwater, Florida; 3 grandchildren, Kimberly O’Hare, William Polewski and Eric Polewski; and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial services and interment with military honors will be held at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.

I consider myself to be lucky. Even though I lost you pop, I am lucky to have spent so many years with you. Most women my age are not lucky enought to have had as many years with their grandfather as I have with you. I will miss being able to pick up the phone to hear you call me Kimber. I will miss your laugh. I will miss being able to spend the holidays with you or to see you at family functions.
