Billy was born in Batavia, New York on a calm spring day, that obscured the coming hell raising of his youth. Billy filled his days spending time with his best friend “Buddy”, doing his best golf impression, chatting with friends and family in his man cave and spending as much time on the water as possible. Never a man to tell anyone no, Billy would give you the shirt off his back if you asked (sometimes even when you didn’t), he will be dearly missed by any that were fortunate enough to know him. Waiting for him at the pearly gates were his mother Teresa Katherine Galvin, father Robert Morris Galvin, and without a doubt, his best friends Gus and Duke were jumping and barking, overwhelmed to be reunited for eternity.
Those missing him the most are his loving sisters, Margaret A. Baasch of Centennial, CO, Jeanne K. Politz of Finksburg, MD (both were his favorites), Teresa Watkins of Ellicott City, MD, and Susan M. Dennihan of Ft. Myers, FL; brothers, James M. Galvin of Port Angeles, WA, Martin J. Galvin of Sequim, WA and Patrick S. Galvin and Edward J. Galvin both of Edgewater, MD, too many heartbroken nieces and nephews to count and a gaggle of remarkable lifelong friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
