William F. Brunk, 93, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte on Wednesday, September 21, 2011.
He was born in Rocky Point, New York and moved to Port Charlotte in 1988 from Connecticut. Bill was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. He worked as a chef for many years at various restaurants and hospitals. He was of a Methodist faith. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be missed greatly by all that knew him.
Survived by his son, Robert Brunk, of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Susan McKee, of Port Charlotte; three grandchildren, Sarah Brunk, Melissa Miele, and Sharon (Rhys) Butler; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Dylan Butler.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. Rev. Brian James of Port Charlotte United Methodist Church will officiate.
