William James Grady, 82, of Venice, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his eight children Saturday, September 19, 2009. He was born July 15, 1927 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to his parents John Patrick Grady and Theresa Margaret Patton Grady.
Bill was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army and was a retired supervisor
for the U.S. Postal Service with over 36yrs. of service. Bill and Virginia moved to
Venice in 1985 from Havertown, PA. Bill was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed very much, but not forgotten.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years of marriage, Virginia Ann Grady of
Venice; two sons, William, J. Grady, Jr. of Waterford, NJ and Michael J. Grady of Frisco, CO; six daughters, Barbara Grady of Etters, PA; Susan Tronel of Chester Springs, PA: Rebecca DuVernios of Collegeville,, PA; Eileen Roth of Perkasie, PA;
Margie Grady Garrison of Orlando, FL; and Cori Grady of Orlando, FL; three brothers John of St. Petersburg ,FL: Lawrence of Delray Beach, FL: and Frank of Drexel Hill, PA; two sisters, Nancy Hillesheim of Ardmore, PA and the late Jean Butler of Auburndale, FL; 14 grandchildren Carolyn, BJ, Kevin, Shaun, Stephen, Katy, Alex. Brett, Megan, Tori, Tyler, Cole, Grant, Grace,; and five great grandchildren; Matthew, Jaclyn, Jackson, Luke, Evan; and his beloved dog “Coco”.
There will be a memorial celebration of Bill’s Life 2:30 PM September 23, 2009 at
Bella Vita Independent and Assisted Living Facility 1420 East Venice Avenue, Venice Florida.
Memorial Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Humane Society.
