William K. “Bill” Kalama age 87 of Port Charlotte, FL has passed away peacefully at his residence.
Bill was born January 22, 1933 to the late William and Frances Kalama in Hartford, CT. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and he served 21 years in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Sally J. (Barlow) Kalama. His daughters Crystal Jean Hassen, Tracy Lee Kalama and his son Kelly Kalama. Four Grandson’s Les Hassen Jr, Christopher Hassen, Rafe Kalama, Gabe Kalama and three Great Grandchildren Liam, Kenley and Briggs Hassen.
A Celebration of Life service will be on Friday July 24th at 1:00pm at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, Chancellor Blvd, Port Charlotte. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Air Force will follow at 3:00pm at Restlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery in Port Charlotte. In compliance with suggested guidelines to help prevent the further spread of Covid 19 and protect our most vulnerable and at-risk individuals, we ask anyone in attendance to please be respectful of others and observe social distancing and wear a personal protective mask.
