William T. Kinneally, 73, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda.
Bill was born November 11, 1940 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to James and Gertrude Kinneally. He was a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD. Bill attended Officers Candidate School in Newport, RI in 1962, before serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. Bill retired from the Navy after four years with the rank of Lieutenant. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a computer consultant and project manager in locations around the world, most recently for the State of California as well as for firms in England and Germany. Bill was an avid and lifelong sailor; in his later years he also loved to fish and to travel. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Bill will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kathleen; his daughter, Kara (Martin) Nohilly of Murray Hill, NJ; his son, William Kinneally Jr. of Sebring, FL; three sisters, Gertrude Robison of Malibu, CA, Barbara Husbands of Vero Beach, FL and Georgene Moran of Stockbridge, Vermont; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Patrick.
Inurnment will be held at a later date by the family.
