I didn't know Great-Great Uncle Bill that well, but I am proud to say my brother and I got the honor of meeting him back in December, I believe. He seemed to be a very quiet, peaceful, loving man who had a lot of stories to tell, and I only regret not having the opportunity to meet him sooner or to get to know him more. I'll miss him. I wish to extend my condolences and support to his immediate family and wish Bill himself the best on his new journey. Rest in Peace. Sincerely, Aidan

A fellow "out-law" in this wonderful family, a colleague in the Westlake Schools, our daughter's first Principal, fellow church member and special historian of our Westlake Community ... the list foes on and on. He was always the wise Patriarch of the family, one we feel priviledged to have known and loved snf one who will live on in our hearts. Thanks for the memories, Bill.

Westlake has lost a wonderful friend and historian in Bill. I have long treasured "You've Come A Long Way, Westlake" and even today I have oral histories on my desk awaiting transcription--all done with Bill's encouragement. He will be greatly missed but leaves a wonderful legacy.

It is with deep sympathy that I send this message to you. My name is Nicole Sauer and I had the priviledge of meeting Mr. Robishaw, and Jim, Iris, and Donna this past fall at Holly Lane's 50th Anniversary Celebration. Although I only shared a brief time with him and his family, he made a lasting impact on me. We talked several times over the phone discussing details of the event. During these conversations, I learned a bit of history of Westlake, Holly Lane, and the principals who worked there over the past 50 years. I was able to meet him and experience a wonderful lunch where Mr. Robishaw shared stories of teaching, being a principal, and gave history of the changes he made in the educational process. I was amazed by his incredible memory , his gift of writing, and his love of teaching and education. One person can make a difference; and he did. He touched many lives throughout his life and made an impact that will last a lifetime. Many alumni were excited that he was attending the celebration. He wasn’t just a principal. He truly cared about each of the kids and took the time to know each one. In fact, Mr. Robishaw remembered each of them- where they lived, who they had as a teacher, etc. I am thankful that we were able to meet Mr. Robishaw and part of your clan. I am thinking of you and will say an extra prayer on Friday. With deepest sympathy.

Bill Robishaw or (Big G) was a great man, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, American patriot serving our country, great educator and teacher to name just a few. We will always remember his smile and sense of humor. In his quiet manner he did it all. We were blessed to have known him. He will always be in our hearts. Michael and Ada Hinda Alpern
